Though you’d think it would be easy, I’ve found that writing a “short” story has been one of the hardest concepts to grasp. My stories tend to go on and on, often growing past any page limits I was given. But over the last few years, I’ve managed to finish a few. Check out some of my favorites below!
The Year of Liberation
A chapter from a future novel:
The General's Son
The Window…
Part 1: A Cruel Summer
(Part 1 of 3)
Another Frog Fantasy
The Story of a Hopeless Romantic
~and an unsuspecting frog
Les's Home:
The story of a boy who has only ever known life on a street corner, begging for coins as his only means of survival, and the family that, in a surprising chain of events, took him into there home. Little did either of them know that this desion, for better or worse, would change there lives forever.
More to Come...
The General's Son...
encapsulates the branching stories of the Macallan Brothers. While Marius Macallan, the oldest of the two, has grown up with the weight of the world on his shoulders training to be his Father's successor as the Kingdoms top general, Laurnce Macallan has spent his years growing comfortable in his brother's shadow, using the lack of attention as a means cause trouble, pick fights, and get back at people who’ve wronged him.
Though Laurence prided himself on being able to wriggle out of tight situations, it was always Marius who bailed him out in the end. But one day Laurence had gone too far, and despite Marius's best efforts to fix things, the damage was irreversible.
