A Bëeg-BAhD Day is a comedic fairy tale rewrite that pulls together five of the most popular wolf tales into one captivating story. The Bëeg-BAhD wolf family, a mother and her four cubs, moved to the Fictional Forest for a fresh start and the chance to pursue their career dreams. Though they weren’t exactly greeted with open arms by the town's people, in light of many intimidating wolf stereotypes, the Bëeg-BAhD's did their best to fit in, all the while pushing towards their ultimate goal: graduation.
And now, after a year of hard work, they sat down for what should have been a joyful dinner. Though they planned to celebrate the completion of their long-awaited final exams and express the bubbling excitement concerning graduation in a week’s time, the night took an unexpected turn. Join them around the table and discover how a celebratory night turned into the retelling of A BËEG-BAhD Day.
I originally wrote this story as a part of my high school fiction writing class. It was an assignment and we were assigned to either write a fairy tale or a historical fiction piece. I chose to do a fairy tale, but I wanted to do something different. So I decided on a fairy tale rewrite, but not just for one story, for five. I centralized the idea on wolves because I believe they were some of the coolest and misunderstood fairy tale creatures.
I honestly did not think this story would become my first book. But when my high school teacher encouraged me that the story had potential to be a best selling children’s book, so I've decided to see for myself .
